Why your support matters

An assistance dog doesn't just learn a few cues. She needs months of care, training, socialisation and assessment before she can support a person with a disability. Every dog in Cohort 1 is on that journey right now.

Cohort 1

Meet the dogs your support helps train.

These eight rescued Indie dogs are our first cohort. They are learning the cues, confidence and reliability needed for future assistance and therapy roles. Each one lives with and is trained by a woman in rural Karnataka.
